I'm getting a Samsung U28D590D 28" 4k monitor for Crimbo (shop soiled - £340 natch) and have just read up on what I need to drive it! Eek! I currently run an Nvidia GTX 560Ti and can see that it don't even do HDMI 1.4 (which is the minimum required for 4k at 30Hz). How much am I going to have to spend to drive this baby? (minimum please - I don't want a new mortgage) Any suggestions?

Won't be much use to you now anyways

Seemingly arbitrarily deciding what is nice sex and what is not nice sex, the board has banned the following acts from being depicted by British pornography producers:
Spanking
Caning
Aggressive whipping
Penetration by any object "associated with violence"
Physical or verbal abuse (regardless of if consensual)
Urolagnia (known as "water sports")
Female ejaculation
Strangulation
Facesitting
Fisting

Well it's here! As expected it was not simple. In the end I had to borrow Moose's DVI to HDMI cable (though he then had my Samsung supplied HDMI to HDMI so his monitor should look better now) and I can only use 1920 x 1080 (a 1/4 what it's capable of). Still a fukkin big monitor. Acres of space - I will be able to see round corners now!

What video card you thinking of getting? You'd need a bit of a monster to run at that resolution!

I dunno, have seen some Nvidia ones for under £300, 980s I think. Would not be willing to spend more than that.
edit:
This is the one I found, a 970

Saw other brands for less. It's not going to max it out but at least I will be able to run 4k (only doing 1/2 of that at the mo)

The 970 is a really interesting card especially because of the low power consumption not sure how they did it but you might struggle maxing 4k. Can always buy 2 though >:)
