Gavac meets Flangy

Out of the blue, I got a PM last night from Flange. He and his lovely partner are doing a tour of Scotland, and were just down the valley in Kingussie. A quick exchange of mobile no.s, and at 3 pm today, we met in Grantown's square. We had the full family in tow, so a stroll and a relaxing chat over a cappuccino seemed a good idea.

The kids were hyped up, as we had just returned from a few nights at the Edinburgh Festival/Fringe, and the little ones were at home, being spoiled by their Granny. Poor Michael has probably been put of fatherhood for good  . The weather was good today for a change, and it was a real pleasure to meet another OFc member, who typically turned out to be a gentleman. All the family wish them both good fortune for the future, and a safe journey home to Münster in Germany.

Well to sum up, what a lovely couple, and their grasp of the English language shames many people from these shores. Thank you for taking the time to get in touch, and perhaps one day we can meet in your own home town.

From Neil (Gavac220), Sarah, Kayleigh and Dacey Bremner. aa) :D

Yay - just back from Scotland. Me and the missus (yes, it's a girl - sorry, Slarti) had a great time there. Very friendly people, beautiful landscapes, more sheep than Scots I presume .... If you haven't been there already - highly recommended!

Meeting Mr Gavac and his lovely familiy was great! No need to say what a nice fellow this guy is - I guess most of you will know already. And what a funny one - in particular when he pretended to inadvertently drive off the opened door of our rental car ....

Unfortunately, we missed to take a picture as proof (and maybe to clarify matters for Slarti).

Thanx again for your time mate!
