in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\YOUR STEAM NAME\counter-strike source\cstrike\cfg

Save the config file from that folder.

Also in:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\YOUR STEAM NAME\counter-strike source\cstrike\

There's your autobuy and rebuy txt files you might want to keep.

Re: Saving your configuration on css

\steam\SteamApps\INSERT YOUR NAME HERE\counter-strike source\cstrike\cfg\autoexec.cfg
For those clever one liners.

Meanwhile your binds live in:
\steam\SteamApps\INSERT YOUR NAME HERE\counter-strike source\cstrike\cfg\config.cfg

The main difference between the two configs above is:

AUTOEXEC.cfg is permenant. Anything you put in there will stay the same everytime you load the game (ie name Stueh for example will always set my name to Stueh). This loads AFTER the config.cfg file

CONFIG.cfg is temporary. When you go into options and change a setting there, the config.cfg is completely overwritten and is used for that instance of the game.

Settings i would put in the autoexec are:

Binds (buy,weapon use etc)
Mouse Settings (zoom_sensitivity, speed, colour, acceleration)
Net Settings (For non-ofc servers)
Any extra graphics settings (if you have low fps)

I can go through a config if you want me to :)

As dragon suggested save the config.cfg. This contains any changes you've made through the games options menu's.
Would be a good idea to save your maps, materials and models folders aswell.
Or you could just save the whole counterstrike folder..reinstall steam..then swap the old and new folder.
