Re: Zone Alarm Extreme Security

Jeez... I used Zonealarm about 10 years ago... back in the 56k, ISDN days... before firewalls and bb were that common.

It was highly rated then as one of the best, but it did become a bit of a pain in the arse having to dissable it and enable it when you wanted certain things to work. However, maybe now its improved.

Hem with one license you can install it on 3 pc (if you have 3 pc at home  ) and it is only for 1 or 3 years... Well i didn't really had a look at it as i have a work license.

Yep the little bit i red on the web it improved a lot... Especially with the stealth browser. And from what i tried there not too much of what u said as there is a "learning 20 days" where ZA sees what programs are safe or not and which one you're using.

Appenrently it works quite well with windows defender...

Re: Zone Alarm Extreme Security

Is it good though ?
Any windows that pop up and say "attention this program's trying to access internet" or things like that ?

Still have a license to use if want to test and keep it.

Re: Zone Alarm Extreme Security

ZA is great. Probably one of the lower level firewalls on the market in terms of where they put their kernel hooks.
