OS prices

Ok getting paid on friday, I've been looking around and i'm probably going to need a new OS with my new rig, as my DELL currently has like a reboot cd... not its own OS cd :(

I've found a few places online that are meh prices.. around the 90-110 quid... which you know.. ill pay if i have to, but the internet is a big ol' thing, so wondering if anyone else knows of good deals/prices

either on Vista 64 bit or XP home... either is fine, it just depends on the price really. ta muchly :)

oh hmm i rechecked overclockers and they have

You can buy an OEM version:
http://www.ebuyer.com/product/123052
http://www.ebuyer.com/product/123067
You is building your own system - fairs fair!

Just check out on ebuyer under software OEM

Also

Home basic:

You is a student isnt you?

I think you can get student versions at a similar price ~£60

Re: OS prices

The point is nobody checks to see if you are a student. It's very easy to buy one. If you are not a student then you must know some. Have a kid brother - etc. etc.

Re: OS prices

I agree, if your current hardware isn't supported by windows 7 (which is why you uninstalled it iirc) then Vista drivers won't be any better.

It's out on Oct 22nd, although it has already been RTM'd. I get my copy on August 6th with my MSDN sub :)
