WD velociraptor 300Gb 10k rpm

Well I did a full reinstall/backup yesterday on my new drive and all I can say is wow!

This thing is rappid. If your looking for a performance drive I can highly recommend it! :P :P

Nice, I got the 74gb raptor, max bandwidth is a bit useless but random seek time is still quick.

What I really want however is an SSD, that should blow even a raptor out of the water.

yeah i noticed a difference, i got the 10k 150 gb WD. just used for my os and then 2x 1tb raid1 for my data, lovely jubly

upgrade to 2 x ssd in raid 0 haha, you might notice a bit of a difference :D

They are very affordable and made by a company well known for performance hardware. Haven't got one yet but am planning on as soon as I can afford ;)

£522.76 for 250 gig .... affordable ... I must be in the wrong job!

Heh... but £90 for a 30gb is the cheapest I've seen for any SSD, and that's plenty space for Windows and CSS ;)
