Ok each time (and this has been going on for as long as i can remember)

each time i join the OFc servers, it does the whole retrieving server info

then says Downloading: Materials/Decals/Custom/Mani_admin_plugi.... (and i cant read the rest)

checked google and came up with feck all about this. Just wondering, should this be downloading EVERYTIME the map changes?

any help would RAWWWK!

Delete ( or just rename ) the mani sounds folder. ( cant remember the exact address line ).

Then join the server, this solved my problem with this and the quake sounds. Im fairly sure its a permissions thing that gets borked sometimes because your half the way into joining a server and then the map changes on the server which then quits the download halfway. This only needs to happen once, and from then on, this then prevents the sounds downloads from completing there original process. Could be wrong, but it seems to be the only reason I can suggest.

No - go to Steam\steamapps\<username>\counter-strike source\cstrike\Materials\decals\custom\mani_admin_plugin\

Extract the contents of that zip folder (a vtf file and a vmt file) into that directory.
Fix'd

He's having a problem with materials, not the sounds.

Fixed for the record and anyone else who has this problem, do what McClane said for the mani problem

and do what IXL said for the sounds (i remember HW telling me to do that when i had that problem ages ago )

erm was trying to give this a bash as i have the same problem but after '\Materials' i have no decals, custom etc?

make ze folder
