Id chceck asus site as ebuyer isnt given much info to be honest usual difference with asus boards with name of deluxe is that the deluxe would have 2x 16 pci-e slots and the standard will have two pci-e slots but when both in use will run at x8

Yeah checked it out, you were spot on mate. I've been getting very angry as of late with the fps my machine has been getting [amd 3000+] so much so I've only been able to play on server 2 due to the significant reduction in map detail.
The new machine I'm ordering on Friday will consist of;
Intel Core i7 920 2.66GHz Socket 1366 8MB Cache Retail Boxed
OCZ 6GB (3X2GB) DDR3 1333MHz/PC3-10666 Gold XTC Triple Channel
Zalman ZM-STG1 Thermal Grease
Asus P6T DELUXE X58 Socket 1366 7.1 channel audio ATX
Zotac GeForce GTX 295 ZT-295E3MA-FSP / 1792MB DDR3
All paped into my antec 900 I already have. I won’t be changing my pc for a hell of a long while so this seams like a good investment.

has the onboard sound of these motherboards caught up with your average XFi for most games? I have an addon sound card partly cos the sound on my old mboard is bound to be shite but mostly because I was worried about cpu impact with onboard sound - maybe that doesn't matter anymore.

So heres whats on its way;
Intel Core i7 920 2.66GHz Socket 1366 8MB Cache Retail Boxed Processor
Asus P6T DELUXE X58 Socket 1366 7.1 channel audio ATX Motherboard
OCZ 6Gb DDR3 1333MHz Memory CL7(7-7-7-20) 1.6V Compatible with I7 Motherboard
Zotac GeForce GTX 295 ZT-295E3MA-FSP / 1792MB DDR3 / PCI Express 2.0 / Graphics Card
Zalman ZM-STG1 Thermal Grease
Hi-Power Black 800W 14cm Blue LED Fan PSU - 20+4pin 4x SATA 4x PCI-E
I still cant get over spending £400 on a graphics card but I wont be changing this pc for about 3-4 years! WOOOHOOO!!!
