I've just done a full re-install - no problems with it at all. Still rather have that than Vista :x
Political Correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

Roll on Windows 7... :)

*is using Win7 beta build 7000*
It's like vista, but better, and uses less systeam resources. Basically, it's what Vista SHOULD be.

speaking with my IT hat on, ive always worked on the principle of "if it aint broke. . . ." however, i did decide to install it at work on a few pcs (289) and on my laptop and media pc without any problems all on xp pro. Ive since installed it on my games pc and thats running great.

Upgrade or not to upgrade that is the question

I have upgraded to SP3 and so has our company with only a few number of employees reporting issues which i believe has now been fixed.

Let us know how it goes.

its a good upgrade. Well worth it for older pc's. But tbh, i couldnt really see the improvement speed wise over sp2 :/

The "full fat" SP3 download works a treat.

Just to butt in...

I'm now 24/7 on Ubuntu 8.10 and forgot about Windows completely. I've just bought new CPU, RAM, GPU etc but not crazy about gaming besides CSS with you lot (anyway I don't have time for serious gaming).
CSS runs under Wine although I still need to do a few tweaks, not as smooth as Windows obviously. Ingame voice is missing.

For those who love all that fancy stuff Vista can do - Ubuntu with compiz kicks Vista's ass. The level of customisation is far beyond Windows or MaxOSX.

XP SP3 has been fine on my main gaming PC and the other PC's around the house I've applied the update to. Haven't noticed any benefits either but these days I'm just happy if the box doesn't fuck me around. Jazzy has been smoking that Linux crack-pipe again.

Bamz.
