Re: Battlefield 5
I enjoyed the beta, so looking forward to playing it properly tomorrow. Haven't played the last 2 BF games, but this did feel nice to play again.
My account is Dannf6BF3 (if I remember correctly!), but I'll be in the discord whenever I'm playing anyway!

Re: Battlefield 5
Played about 10 hours so far and pretty sure I'll get my money's worth out of it.
Mostly been playing infantry and the squad play is good , pushing flags with a few people on comms is very rewarding.
Not used the vehicles too much yet , but hopefully the attrition mechanic means they can't dominate as much as in some of the earlier iterations of BF.
Menu system is very convoluted , and some of it seems counter-intuitive but maybe its just something that needs to be gotten used to.
Overall I think this is going to be a winner , not a huge amount of maps on release , but free content coming every month ( I think?)

Re: Battlefield 5
1st opinion? Really good even game play and great graphics. They must have some fantastic graphic specialists, as it really is optimised to run fast with a high graphic setting, on an older system.
I am running clocked CrossFire 2x ATi 7870 2GB cards with a i5-3570K at 4.6GHz on air. This runs everything on High at an incredibly smooth frame rate.
There is hope for us ageing cheapskates yet
Great game tonight with Danny, Sax, and Joker. Slarti saw me and whipped my pants down. Luckily, it was just what I wanted him to do!

Re: Battlefield 5
Had some good fights tonight , some tough battles pushing flags and some really tight games
If we had 2 decent squads on the one server we would rape the shit out of it
Haven't used the tanks too much but they almost feel a secondary part of the game so far , haven't even used many mines and they were my staple on previous BF games
In saying that I believe the next map release is tank orientated so that might all change
I'm liking the attrition system , means people have to use their brains a little and try to work as a team
Revives from all team mates is working out a lot better than I thought , the long revive time for non medics seems to stop it from being over used , but you still get a lot of randoms saving your ass
The removal of 99% of the 3d spotting is great , makes the core game feel more like hardcore
The new resupply/health system is quiet good also , not so easy for people to just spam shit everywhere now , makes for a more balanced game I feel
