Well the PM system is useless. I've only just noticed this feature and I have some messages dating back to 2009! You'd think I'd get an email to say new message is in!?!?

It says at the top when you have new PMs (in yellow), or No New PMs (in red like the others) for me.

In the User Control Panel (UCP), you can also change the settings in "Board Preferences" to email you when you get a PM. Don't worry though, if they haven't been opened by the receiver, the message stays in the senders "outbox" until opened when it is moved to the "sent messages" folder, so people should know if you've read it or not.

I been using it recently like danny said the icon changes from red to yeallow

Yeah - I remeber when the forum was first set up - I complained that it was not obvious that you had a message and the designer (Jazzy?) changed it so that it was yellow when you had a message.
