Star Wars

Booked for tomorrow night.

Going with my brother (the only one who'll join me) we're both very skeptical but know that the moment that intro music starts we'll revert to a couple of excited 10 year olds wishing we had our own lightsabers!

Re: Star Wars

Just got back from watching it myself! Pretty decent I thought.

I took the gamble of not pre-booking as a discount I can get can only be had when buying the ticket in person. 2D was full so ended up seeing in 3D - any discounts wiped out - doh! 3D is a cheap (rip off) gimmick - I'm not a fan. So 3D sucks, Star wars good!

Enjoy the film!

Re: Star Wars

Yep, thought it was pretty good. Almost a revamp of the original 1977 film.
I'm sure kiera knightley will come across professor snape again soon.

I thought I was alone in not liking 3D.
Our local cinema is now offering 4D with moving chairs, spraying water and various other crap.. erm... can I just watch the film please?

4D!? They need to sort out 3D before any other gimmicks! My primary beef with 3D is I already wear glasses - I don't want to have to wear 2 to get the 3D effect. They should be paying me to watch in 3D - it lessens the whole experience for me.

And how awesome is BB8?

Re: Star Wars

Thought it was ok, not as good as the original episodes 4,5,6 but by far a lot better than episodes 1,2,3
