Hello Bernard,
As you may or may not know, we have had some issues with our TS3 servers today. This may not have effected all of you, however, we feel that you all need to be filled in on whats happening and what is going to happen.
Several users reported their TS3 servers randomly stopping by themselves, the issue was believed to lie with our NTP server (keeps the time and date in sync). A second issue was discovered at the same time, a port scan. Both issues were dealt with and some stability seemed to restore.
The following 2 paragraphs only apply to those on voice/voice2.gamingdeluxe.co.uk
Shortly after, some users reporting the same issue, the master password was changed as a precautionary measure, upon restarting the server, Teamspeak refused, citing that the license was out of date. This is not the case, the license is in date and has another month before renewal, which has already been taken care of.
As the IP was changed recently due to the ddos, it was thought that the license may not be activating due to that, even though it had been working fine for a while now, regardless, we attempted to switch the IP back, and rebooted the whole server. Upon rebooting, the server refused to start, once it did, it blue screened with the underlying cause of the registry being corrupt, possibly linked to the issues with the NTP server. The box is now being reinstalled, a full back up of your Teamspeak servers will be restored once this is complete. The latest backup we have of your servers is 12.30pm GMT on the 17th December 2013.
The following applies to all customers
We have raised the issue with the Teamspeak licencors, we are awaiting their response.
In the mean time, we can only apologise for any disruption and downtime caused by this, we hope to have this issue resolved by tomorrow at the latest, but we are dependant on Teamspeak getting back to us.
Please accept our deepest and most sincere apologies for any disruption caused by this downtime.
Regards
