Film was ok some great effects but to be honest should have made it an 18 like the 1st 2 films also a few bits of the film were an anti climax so would i recommend it spose so !!

Saw Prometheus at the cinema (I went to the 2D version) and would definitely recommend it for the hi-res widescreen space-opera graphics and sound. There's many moments where the graphics are truly kick-ass.
I'm not sure if the 3D version would have been any better - there's a 'scan the alien moonbase tunnels' scene which uses funky 3D scanning mini-drones that seems made for 3D cinema (and looked pretty neat in 2D), but overall I think the 2D version gave me more time to enjoy the view.
From a script standpoint, many of the mini-scenes are laughably shite, with crew members being handed the worst lines ever and having to do things like open the spaceship door with an infected killer alien zombie knocking on the outside, or jam a probe into an alien head and increase the power until they accidentally explode it.
If you HAVE seen the movie, then maybe the review linked below (containing spoilers) will make sense. Personally I'm glad I read the review AFTER seeing the movie, not before.
