The wifes Creative Fatality phones that I 'borrowed' after smashing my old Plantronics 377's, have died. Specifically the microphone. I never liked the sound quality compared with the old Plany's anyway, so it is an excuse to get a shiny new set.
The Plany's were comfortable, with excellent sound and bullet proof! Well.... not Running machine crushing proof as it turned out . Dropped the running platform right onto them. They still work, but the band broke as it was crushed by the extremely heavy running platform.
Ah well, there is now a new set from Plantronics called the GameCom 780/380's, which have had great reviews. Should be selling for around £50, but I found a deal at £18 with free shipping! On there way now, so should have proper comms back in time for next Friday night's gaming session.

Ok - Review time.
These are the best headphones I've ever tried so far. Build quality is second to none, and they are incredibly comfortable. Even more than my old Plany's! Got them for £18 delivered, which is quite simply incredible value for money (Normally retail more than 3 times that). Sound is sharp and Bass is full and rounded through those twin 40mm drivers. Microphone seems good so far, but I need to tweak my card's software to get the best out of it. Very good cabling too, which is very high grade.
All in all, highly recommend these to any OFc member.

Re: New Headphones = Gavac has a voice!
Any chance of a link from where you bought them from for £18
Re: New Headphones = Gavac has a voice!
I got them from Ligo and they also give you another £5 discount voucher when they send them! The 380's are here for same price http://www.amazon.co.uk/Plantronics-Gam ... =1-1-fkmr1
Cheapest I can find the 780's for now is £36 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Plantronics-Gam ... B0079G2Y52
But the 380's are just the same without the built in Dolby 7.1. Same 40mm drivers so the same quality for gaming, and they have the preferable 3.5mm gold plated connectors.
Bargain prices for high quality kit.

Re: New Headphones = Gavac has a voice!
Giving the wife the 1st set, and ordering a new 380 set for myself. I broke hers (The aptly named Fatalities), so only fair. She listens to a lot more music, so the 780's will suit her better and the 380's will be better for gaming.
Oh, and using the £5 voucher i got from the first pair at Ligo! hehe That means the 380's will cost me £13 delivered
