No its sadder than that cry more!
It was a sad day playing, got the classic corruption and artifact on display and then lockups. Cranked the fan up to be at 100% all the time and the card sprung back into life for another day then finally burned itself out
So I'm on a budget and its really about time to purchase a new PC as my dual core is starting to go long in the tooth too. But I haven't got the bucks for that just yet.
So bought a PALIT GTX 460 SONIC 1024MB GDDR5 (NVIDIA), even though its producing a faster frame rate etc than the old 8800 its a tiny card in comparison and very quiet too!
Playing MoH with the settings all maxed out... very nice
You can get this card for around 130 not the cheapest but very goody!
