Bah I don't like change!!!! Prob still do them myself
Re: AMD (ATI) to deliver driver updates over Steam
looks ok to me - I haven't been picky with an ATI driver upgrade for quite a while - I just take whatever's the latest, so Steam doing it for me is ok. At least Steam knows when I'm in game and won't download then...

I'd say it is a positive step, and a clever marketing one from the AMD/ATi guys. The gamers friends?!?
I'll be buying another one of their products after such a positive time with this card regardless. A true convert, as I was Nvidia daft, mainly due to the terrible driver support from ATi. It was famously bad. That is certainly a thing of the past.

Re: AMD (ATI) to deliver driver updates over Steam
Tried it out last night and updated my drivers. Steam crashed as soon as I clicked it.
Turns out I now have to run steam as an admin for it to do the update. This also includes downloading games as I found out when trying to install Force Unleashed and F1 2010. Never had this problem before - I'm guessing this is a windows issue unless anyone else has the same problem?
I guess I'll have to mess around with startup settings to give it permanment admin.

F1 2010 - hmm if I had the cash I'd certainly join you with that purchase
