New Graphics card

yes after 3 years my 8800gtx has finally fried

wanted one thats a bit cheap and runs well

what you think of this one?

But Gavac's right, the HD 4870's are a great series.

Personally speaking, after just getting a new card, if I were you I'd look for :
  • 1 GIG of DDR5
  • Crossfire Support ( not essential obviously ).
  • Reputable Manufacturer... ( again not essential, but as these things can get hot, you'l want it made well and to last. )
Once you'v found a few which tick those boxes, start looking at the clock speeds and the reviews...

well, got the one i was talking about as totally stretched for money and even that was pusing boat out!

it arrived today and is installed :D

runs gr8 tbh, loving it so far :D

in the future i'll get the latest out, start a "fucked graphics card" savings fund :P

if i was to get a new Gfx card just now i would go for the Ati HD 5770 too, it give some serious speed for £125 :wink:
