any one want to buy my graphics card
anyone interested in buying my msi 8800 ultra 768mb graphics card ?

Re: any one want to buy my graphics card
you might want to keep it and use it as a physX card alongside your new Gfx card

its not sli m8
youre using one as a gfx card and the other to handle the physics.
i was goign to keep one of my old nvidias for doing this but it was a 7000 series, must be at least an 8000 series
Not sure exactly how it works or on what games, but i think its fairly simple, couple of clicks, maybe a small download
worth looking into if you cant sell the card. (I got the ATI 5850 for 200 smackers, dirt cheap for such a powerful card.)
anyone else use physX?

Before you fork out for a new card have a look at the new nvidia drivers.
http://www.nvidia.co.uk/object/winxp_19 ... ql_uk.html
Offering huge improvements to some games.Downloaded them tonight but not installed them yet.
Will reply back when they're installed.
As for a new card, as Dragon pointed out on another thread , bottlenecks are a problem.
Find out what your motherboard , os ,etc can handle before making your choice....no point buying an xxx if your motherboard can only support x.

here you can see some videos with physx and without physx: http://www.pcgames.de/aid,703502/Nvidia ... al/?page=2
its really nice to have it but not so much games support it at the moment.
and i think you will buy a new TV/Desktop with a very high resolution. the most time the ATI Cards are better in high resolution as the nvidia cards cause they use more and faster ram.
here you can see some performance rating with actuall cards: http://www.computerbase.de/artikel/hard ... ancerating
In the nexttime they will be build a new motherboard with a hybrid mode. so you can use a ATI AND a NVIDIA card as a bundle. but i dont think that it will support the geforce 8xxxx series.

By the looks of it there's a serious problem with that particular driver - it may fry your graphics card:

That looks nasty Flange, I've just checked mine though and its idling at 45c and I've been playing bfbc2 all day with no problems.
I accept no responsiblity if your card goes on fire though.
