Re: Mobiles

The main phones people I work for rave about (in no particfular order)

iPhone 3G S
HTC Magic
Nokia N97

There's a fair amount of buzz around the HTC Hero, although I dont know if that has actually been released yet.

Re: Mobiles

I have the HTC Touch HD with Orange. Its a good little smart phone. It all depends on what you want to use it for really?

Re: Mobiles

Stuey do you reckon they (HTC phones) are a decent alternative to an iPhone? I did have a phone with Windows Mobile on and it was really really really bad, but I'm really impressed with my iPhone (bar the limited battery life).

It looks HTC want to be up there with the big boys of the likes of the Nokias/Samsungs/Apples with taking up sports sponsorship with the largest and most successful cycling team in the World:

Re: Mobiles

Good purchase there mate. Battery life can be annoying but if you're going to use every tool under the sun it's to be expected and all suffer similar issues. What I can tell you is the iPhone came top in a test of smartphones in their primary function I.e. Making voice calls, especially when switching between 3G/2G

As for HTC, they have moved away from windows mobile and are now using android as it's OS. This is why phones like the Magic and Hero are getting such good reviews and are so closely competetive with the iPhone. And whilst Nokia are still using the symbian S60 the N97 is a very good competitor although from those that use Nokia I hear the E75 is better.

Re: Mobiles

yeah i noticed battery is a bit draining.

but luckily, i got this little usb wall plug charger.. so when im at work i can just keep it constantly topped up... might invest in a car charger too, for when i go away and stuff

i shall ponder.

seriously cool phone anyway, glad i finally bit the bullet and got outta my orange contract  well Lazarus did it for me lol

You have to set it up like an old fashioned Pop and smtp email account. These settings work for me.

Name: Your name
Address: Hotmail email address
Description: whatever you want to call it

Incoming Mail Server
Hostname pop3.live.com
Username your email address
Password hotmail password

Outgoing Mail Server
SMTP smtp.live.com

Make sure SSL is on.

here the screenshots of my settings:

Hopefully this has sorted you out.

Get yourself a gmail account instead. Far less hassle.
