Re: Hammer Editor (CS:S) problem
I havent made maps in about 8 years, sort of pre-source, so I cant really help. I have dabbled here and there but its been a while, so forgive my lame reply here... But is your map dir's correct? if it cant find the file, then either it isnt where it should be, the path is incorrect, or the file has...

Re: Zone Alarm Extreme Security
Jeez... I used Zonealarm about 10 years ago... back in the 56k, ISDN days... before firewalls and bb were that common. It was highly rated then as one of the best, but it did become a bit of a pain in the arse having to dissable it and enable it when you wanted certain things to work. However, maybe...

Re: Acer or MSI

Re: Acer or MSI
If thats all your worried about, I would say theres not that much in it temperature wise. Not that you would really "notice" whilst using it anyway. Perhaps there are some reviews on each from a third party...?Legato wrote:It was more the AMD v Intel debate.
Good luck anyway.

Re: Acer or MSI
All I can really add, is that I have had several ( approx 25 ) MSI mainboards for work and home ( not laptops ) but they have never really let me/us down, lasting years in some cases. ( no punn intended ). Cant really say how there laptops fair, as ive not had one for work or home. However we have h...

Re: New Graphics card
So the oven trick didnt work then? lol But Gavac's right, the HD 4870's are a great series. Personally speaking, after just getting a new card, if I were you I'd look for : 1 GIG of DDR5 Crossfire Support ( not essential obviously ). Reputable Manufacturer... ( again not essential, but as these thin...

Re: Wireless Router Problem
You sure it's the router and not the NIC on your new build? I think Redddragon has raised the first point which should be checked. Has the NIC driver been installed even? Just check matey in device settings. Or even, make sure you have it plugged in to the right NIC port. Some boards have two, and ...

Re: The First Intel Lynnfield PCs
Prices of CPU's yo yo all the time, my cpu I got last month, has gone up in price by 35 quid already.. 8O Anyway, I think its the last paragraph that sums that huge wall of text up in that review Schlack. The takeaway: If you're already running a Core i7 system with an up-to-date system (drivers, gr...

Re: WINDOWS 7 PROS & CONS
Yea that makes sense. If your asking me, I try and do the three main components together.. ( RAM, CPU and MAINBOARD ) without question. Then if possible the GFX card as well. Then opt for a new HARDDRIVE and OS later. However saying that, ive been lucky enough to do all 4, but I had to get the GFX c...
