Re: Acer or MSI
Manage to buy myself a replacement mainboard for my LP, fitted it and got it all working again, so saved myself a mint for at least a year anyway. Gunna give it a miss on getting a new one for now. ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

Re: Acer or MSI
Hi Lego.
Just wondered if you had any regrets with the MSI ?
Im at the same bridge myself, as my LT has packed up, and although I am going to order a new MB for it, I think its time to get a new LT anyway.
Just out of curiousity, is yours 64 bit or is it 32 bit?
Thanks

Re: Very interesting
I had heard that some people ( how true this is I dont know ) where they had a virus in the actual jpg image, when they imported into their game spray...
This in turn caused all sorts of in game issues....
Just at thought.

Re: Win7 Upgrade
Whats in your "my documents" ? Perhaps farm off files or at least the larger ones you dont need onto CD/DVD or Stick. ? I can understand your "program files" folder being large, but not your windows one. . . Perhaps also un-install some programs and games which you can then re-in...

Re: Steam Scam Warning ..........From Lokers account
That site sticks out a mile off. I very much doubt the person(s) who have hacked ( if that is the case ) his account, that firstly they will join our gameservers, and secondly, what can they actually do to us, nothing really, apart from perhaps annoy other steam friends claiming there him? Id...

Re: WINDOWS 7 PROS & CONS
I think it also depends on which edition you have of Vista/W7, as both Vista Business and W7 Professional, dont have the annoying pop up issue. Not that ive seen anyway. Perhaps this is just for those using the basic/home editions etc?

Re: Windows 7 install help
True, same here. I forgot about the GFX card driver, but as far as a working system goes, it did the lot during the install. The motherboard CD Driver disk was not required.

Dude, Not rubbing it in at all, but my MSI mainboard I got last autumn, didnt need ANY drivers that came with it, it litterally installed them from the Windows 7 Pro install. So im supprised as much as you are if your having this much of a mare. Forgive this obvious stuff, but how old is your dvd Dr...

Re: problem on startup
How many usb devices do you have plugged in mate? If you have more than just the mouse and keyboard, unplug them all and just leave it with the M&K plugged in and see how you get on. Also just check you have the latest drivers for your mainboard. Might be an update with the usb and device manage...

Good call. Anything like that sort of behaviour mate, just do an instant ban.
But essentially, great job.
