Re: Blank Screen

Is there anything in the logs, as per that link forum suggests?

I had a very simular issue with GRID, ( non steam version ) which needed just that launch command added and it worked...

I think No Fear had a simular prob, with BC2, but it was never posted what resolved it.

Re: Blank Screen

Hmm

Try this;
Steam -> My Games (or Library for beta 2010 UI) -> right click L4D2 -> properties -> launch options -> -novid

That disables all those logos and other stuff on game launch and goes straight to menu.

Re: CPU overclock

Yea, I think your better off buying a new MB and CPU ( or just a new CPU if your MB can take it ) rather than overclocking. Also, you will be amazed at what price you might get for your old MB and CPU if you sell them on Ebay, to make up the cost of a new set. I think overclocking is only ideal for ...

Re: The Juggernaut

Lovely stuff... Just check : That particular RAM is MASSIVE in size, the heatsinks stick up a lot. Make sure you have clearance for your CPU Heatsink and FAN to sit nicely down on, without it touching the RAM heatsinks. It does vary of course on the layout of the board, but just be aware... or you m...

My advice is to jump in a few servers on your own , try the different classes and they weapons /gadgets Slarty is right. Crap, if you want, perhaps tomorrow or one night this week when your free, bump me in friends and we will jump on an empty server and I'll happily talk you all through the basics...

Re: Anti Virus Software

At the end of the day, regardless of what scope your AV is , your still at some sort of risk. It very much depends on the user(s) on the PC in question. Most companies buy a comprehensive AV licences/application as there are so many users who will abuse the internet service. However for home and roa...

Re: Ehh, what should I do?...

Hmm, that takes some doing... If I understand you correct, your plug pin is stuck in your audio out socket of your pc? You should be able to gently "leaver" it free from inside the PC. ( un plug the power first ) There is a small metal clip that the pin of the plug passes, which gently sin...

Re: Wifi-ish question.
