Re: Materials Download
Delete ( or just rename ) the mani sounds folder. ( cant remember the exact address line ). Then join the server, this solved my problem with this and the quake sounds. Im fairly sure its a permissions thing that gets borked sometimes because your half the way into joining a server and then the map ...

Re: L4D ping vs CS:S ping
That seems ok.
Obviously you have tested for spyware ect?
I did witness your ping on militia, but dont think its map related. Is X-Fire running when your on CS? Its not that is it, downloading updates for other games?

Re: L4D ping vs CS:S ping
Thats what got me worried... lol So what are the net graph details on your own pc game?
I would be inclinded to delete ( rename ) your current config for cs and create a new one from scratch.
Or I can PM you mine.

Re: L4D ping vs CS:S ping
Is this CS ping on ANY cs server or OFc's server one and two? In each config, IE, L4D and CS, just compare what the rates settings are and see if they are different. cl_cmdrate "XX" cl_updaterate "XX" and so on.... IT might be an idea also to just do a ping trace on each ip. ( Us...
