Re: Arma2 crash/black screen
Eeek. Just a thought, does this happen repeatidly? Have you tried it from a cold boot, where the GPU might be cooler? Does it happen at a lower res and graphic detail? Im assuming that all other games work ok?
Just a thought.

Re: Mobiles
We had a number of HTS's... mostly being the S730's or V1415. The issues we had were simply build quality. Buttons and screens were really badly made. At the time they were all Windows Mobile, which seemed to do the job, but very slowly. They might of improved the handsets in build quality now, but ...

Same spec as per my first post, but I also got this gfx card, its not SLI compatible, but it is crossfire, so as and when I'll give it a go. Re: Updating my gfx card ... need some advice ..
Does that card Gav have software contol to slow/speed up the fans matey ? Seems like a nice card tho, would prefer the 1 gig ram tho than the 512, but its gotta be able to run quiet if possible. I wonder which custom coolers would fit that too. Which one have you fitted? I would be looking at some r...

Re: Crossfire GFX Mainboard and Cards..
Interesting point there McClane.. thanks. It would be good to know who else is PCI-E here with SLI... Just to get some idea. Im still pretty unsure what to do atm... Need to get a rig sorted within the next month. What Im warey of, is PCI E, slowing fading away much like AGP has... sure its not goin...

Crossfire GFX Mainboard and Cards..
Is anyone here running a card/mainboard with that support? Im considering upgrading, as I havnt for nearly 4 years. Ive deliberatley delayed going PCI ( still on AGP ) to see the newer platform mainboard support. This is what im thinking of getting and would be interested in what others have or have...

Anyone here with an Iphone 3G ( or 3GS )?
I dont, and I dont want one either. But one of my rogue directors wants one, after considering moving away from his Blackberry bold and Blackberry Storm. I have "heard" that unlocking the iphone, even with the 3.0 update, stops the "roaming" option on the device... so it cant be ...

Re: [OFc] Lemon
Nice one Fishter. I heard about this first hand, but didnt see it. This was last Friday night wasnt it? What worries me a little is when we all go name changing for shits and giggles and cant tell who from who, but we still wear the tags. Obviously this wasnt the case, but thats partly the reason wh...

Re: Over-Heating Lappy - Advice
I had a simular issue with two work laptops. Dell and an Acer. As bullets has said, check the vents. Its the most likely cause. Over time, sometimes blocks of dust get trapped between the internal cpu fan and the heatsink copper grills. This caused the fans to want to run at full speed all the time ...

Re: Proxy bypass
Smithster, not sure about that, as you need web access in the first instance ( port 80 ) to actually log on to the website, to then launch the terminal service (RDP). Depends on what access is being limted I suppose. They might even stop that application from the permissions on the exchange. An alte...

Re: BSOD
All I would just say, first of all to save some time, just make sure the power leads ( molex pins ) on the drives arent damaged in anyway, and the pins on the ATA drive cable is not damaged either and are securely fitted. You dont want to get a new drive or spend ages looking up drivers, if its a ca...
