Steam games resetting router

Last night I tried to join a game of L4D2. The game started up fine, got to the friends list clicked join game and, for no apparent reason my router reset. Once it was back up I tried again and the same thing happened... I remember a few weeks ago the same thing was happening to No Fear when he was ...

Re: Win7 Upgrade

One thing I found takes a lot of space is the system restore. After about a year of having vista on a 1TB HD I managed to free up almost 300GB by deleting the restore points, which is just a ridiculous amount. I'd assumed they would have been automatically deleted after a certain amount of time but ...

Re: Bioshock 2

Aye, I fully understand you not wanting anything with it on it is a pain in the arse. I don't understand why games publishers have failed to realise it doesn't stop piracy it just pisses off genuine customers. Anyway here's hoping it turns out the steam version doesn't have it

Re: Bioshock 2

It seems the reports of SecuRom may have been a little over exagerated. A spokesperson has tried to clear things up basically saying: The disk version requires an initial activation with GFWL after which you can run it offline unless you want achievments and multiplayer obviously. It's not clear if ...

Re: 2010: Year of bloatware

I don't mind digital distribution things like steam and gog.com have giving me a chance to play game that I'd never have looked twice at in a shop. However, I don't want to see the day when it is the only way to buy games as there are some games I'd like to have a tangible copy of so I can play agai...

Re: 2010: Year of bloatware

Any commercial software, like Visual Studio 2010, will always be 'bloated' as it has to cover as many potential needs as possible. It's unlikely that there will be one person that uses every function but it's probable that every function is used by someone. Same goes for game engines. Something like...

Re: I Just Watched

This week I've watched: The Road http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0898367/ A good post-apocalyptic film but incredibly depressing. If you've read the book you'll know what to expect. The Book of Eli http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1037705/ Another post-apocalyptic film. Very good, well worth a watch. Brillia...

Re: Windows 7 install help

Simplest thing I can think of is if you can boot with XP use that to go on the internet and find the latest bios version it may be all it needs.
